The Tuscan with Yarra Roots
Harvested by hand April 19, open fermented then matured for 18 months in the finest seasoned French oak barriques delivering aromas of dark cherry fruit and raspberry. Palate has a hint of liquorice and textured natural grape tannins extending its palate length. The softened acidity makes this a perfect food wine for a great array of dishes, from chili & garlic prawns to traditional Italian dishes.
Cellar: up to 8 years
Vinification: Small batch fermentation, grapes from our 2001 Sangiovese block
Food: Spicy curries, chili con carne, arancini, Italian pizza
